Association Blog #1

1/31 I am going to keep an ongoing journal/feed/production diary leading up to my first short film in a while. If there is a certain aspect you want to hear more about let me know and I will focus on it. For this first one let me tell you a little about it.

It's a 30 minute screwball comedy examining race, woman's roles, and liberal guilt. All set against the backdrop of a condo association. This my first production filled with all SAG actors. Which is exciting for me, if not a little nerve-racking.

I hope to make this film so it could run the festival circuit. It features a lot of my favorite subjects for a comedy. Strong women, sexual tension, awkwardness, race relations, and alcohol. I hope the comedy explodes like a powder keg. But so that's the basic rundown of the script and the film.

Next entry I'll start talking about some of my fears for it and upcoming roadblocks that I am sure will arise.
